I have been a full time artist since 2016 but have made sculpture since I was a teenager in the seventies.
I work with a variety of materials but mainly salvaged ferrous metal. Rusty worn, broken, tools, discarded machine parts, nails. I like the idea that they all have a story locked in their residual form.
Generally my work is about raising a smile and of course the ultimate goal is that a piece transcends the materials and stands on its own; magical and provoking, luring the viewer from the original purpose to a new one.
