Sara Jamieson Ngan

I have been making jewellery for 36 years and trained at the John Cass School of Art City of London University. Before attending college I did evening classes making jewellery at the Lewes Workshop owned and run by Jonathon Swan.
After leaving college I went to work in a workshop in Kingley Street Oxford Circus with some brilliant craftsman and then we all moved to a Bond Street Workshop where we were joined with a group of setters polishers and more jewellers.
After living in London for 15 years I moved to New Zealand where I was married and lived for 5 years. I joined a workshop in Wellington called Quoil which produced Contemporary Jewellery. Living in New Zealand gave me much inspiration for my work being such a beautiful country.
Returning fromNZ in 2003 I went to live in East Sussex and now currently live in West Sussex Shoreham by Sea.

My jewellery work is based on the curve and is often now decorated with small round diamonds, especially my Daisy Collection .I am always looking at Jewellery and am inspired by other people's work also. Some of my work is very modern and some classic designs. Working in a Bond Street jewellers workshop helped me to appreciate fine jewellery. I am also inspired by the sea and bird life especially where I live . I also enjoy drawing and designing.
