I have been making Jewellery for 36 years and trained at Sir John Cass school of Art city of London University.
After leaving college I attended two workshops in London one being in Bond Street where I joined other Jewellers setters and polishers.
After living in London for 15 years I moved to New Zealand where I was married.
I lived in NZ for 5 years and joined another workshop in Wellington which produced and sold contemporary jewellery.Living in NZ gave me much inspiration for my work being such a beautiful country.
I returned from NZ in 2003 living in East Sussex and then moved to West Sussex three years later. I have been working in The Lewes Workshop owned and run by Jonathon Swan .
My jewellery work is based on the curve and is often now decorated with small round diamonds especially my daisy collection. Some of my work is very modern and some classical designs. Working in a Bond Street Jewellers workshop helped me to appreciate fine jewellery.I am also inspired by the sea and bird life especially where I live. I also enjoy drawing and designing.
I have just recently been making painted laminate jewellery where I use watercolour paint on special paper and then get it sealed in plastic and then add beads. It is sometimes nice to create different jewellery and at a very affordable price !
